SMS program terms

These terms cover the text messages BSTRAP LLC, a California limited liability company, sends through its assistant, Vega. They are published at https://bstrap.ai/sms. Our Privacy Policy and Terms also apply.

The program

BSTRAP setup help and support texts (Vega), sent by BSTRAP LLC.

Vega is BSTRAP LLC’s setup-help assistant. It sends one-to-one text messages to people a BSTRAP representative has personally invited and enrolled: setup steps for their device and assistant, replies to their support questions, and notices about their BSTRAP setup and account. It does not send marketing or promotional messages.

How you opt in

There is no online sign-up, web form, paper form or keyword sign-up for this program. Every person is enrolled in person:

  1. A BSTRAP representative meets the person face to face at a scheduled onboarding session and asks for their own mobile number.
  2. Before entering the number, the representative reads this script, word for word:
    “bstrap would like to send setup-help and support text messages from your assistant, Vega, to the mobile number you are providing. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. We will never sell or share your number; see our privacy policy at https://bstrap.ai/privacy. Reply STOP at any time to cancel or HELP for help. Do you agree to receive these text messages?”

  3. The number is enrolled only after the person says yes, in person. We record the mobile number, the date, and the representative who obtained the consent.
  4. Right after enrollment, we send this one-time confirmation text:
    “bstrap: You're opted in to setup-help & support texts from Vega. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency may vary. Msg & data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out.”

START is accepted only to opt a number back in after it texted STOP; it never enrolls a new number. We never buy, import or obtain mobile numbers from anyone else.

  • Reply STOP to cancel. You will get one confirmation: “bstrap: You're opted out and will get no further texts. Reply START to opt back in.”
  • Reply HELP for help. The reply is: “bstrap setup help from Vega. Email . Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel.”
  • Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase.
